Pillar Health and Kenosha Community Health Center (KCHC) offer appointments across all our clinic locations, including Kenosha and Silver Lake, to help you prepare your child for the next school year—without the last-minute stress.
What’s Included in a Well-Child Visit
Well-child visits help keep your child on track for a healthy school year. These comprehensive checkups include:
- Required school physicals, including evaluation for sports (as needed)
- Immunizations according to state guidelines
- Developmental screenings
- Updated health history forms
- Wellness guidance and preventive care
State-required immunizations include MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis/whooping cough), Polio, Hepatitis B, Varicella (chickenpox) and Meningitis (grades 7 and 12). A history of chickenpox virus is also accepted. Schools also require a health history at enrollment and regular updates for conditions like asthma, diabetes, allergies, or other chronic health concerns.
