Kenosha Community Health Center and Pillar Health Launch Holiday Fundraising Campaign to Expand Healthcare Services
This holiday season, the Kenosha Community Health Center (KCHC) and its newest division, Pillar Health, are calling on the community to help transform healthcare access across Southeastern Wisconsin. With nearly 30 years of service, KCHC has become a cornerstone of care, providing high-quality, affordable medical, dental, and behavioral health services to more than 17,000 individuals annually in Kenosha, Racine, and Walworth Counties.
“Our mission has always been to ensure that every person, regardless of income or circumstance, has access to the care they need,” said Mary Ouimet, DNP, RN, CEO of Kenosha Community Health Center, Inc. and Pillar Health. “This holiday season, we’re inviting our community to join us in expanding our services to meet the growing healthcare needs of Southeastern Wisconsin.”
Expanding Care to Meet Growing Needs
Since its founding in 1995, KCHC has leveraged community partnerships and grants to foster sustainable growth. Recent accomplishments include the launch of the integrated Pillar Health model, the opening of the Washington Road location, and the expansion of mental health and outreach services.
The demand for specialized care continues to grow, and KCHC is preparing to address critical gaps in healthcare access. With support from the community, the organization aims to:
- Expand Pediatric Dental Care: Provide advanced treatments for children experiencing severe oral health issues.
- Iniciar Servicios de Optometría: Introduce much-needed vision care for children and families.
- Extend Services to Racine: Beginning in 2025, KCHC will provide Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) services at Julian Thomas Elementary School in Racine. These services will eventually transition to a permanent clinic in the Lincoln-King neighborhood, addressing long-standing healthcare disparities in the region.
“These expansions are vital to ensuring families across Southeastern Wisconsin have access to comprehensive care,” Ouimet added.
Your Support Makes a Difference
Community support is critical to making these initiatives a reality. Every dollar contributed helps to build a sustainable healthcare model that will benefit future generations. Funds raised during this holiday campaign will directly support:
