Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha
The Boys & Girls Club’s youth development strategy focuses on nurturing self-esteem and preparing youth for a productive future. Their approach includes fostering academic success to prepare for higher education or employment, encouraging good character and active citizenship, and promoting healthy lifestyles through diet and fitness.
KAFASI Transportation Services
Volunteer Transportation Service is intended to serve seniors and adults with disabilities. Riders must be ambulatory. This service is provided by volunteers from our community who donate their time and use their own vehicle. Service is subject to the availability of volunteer drivers.
Kenosha Achievement Center
At KAC, we believe that everyone is capable of achieving their goals. Our Adult Services program focus on personal choice and individual growth. KAC has multiple programs that adults with disabilities are seeking, from recreation to employment training and assistance, KAC is here to help you grow, learn, share and achieve.
Kenosha Area Family and Aging Services
KAFASI is home to Kenosha’s largest volunteer force, providing programs and services supporting community members of every generation and stage of life. We offer a variety of programs and services that promote healthy aging, strong families, and a connected community.
Kenosha Literacy Council
Kenosha Literacy Council’s diverse range of programs and classes cater to the unique needs and learning styles of adults seeking to improve their literacy skills. From personalized one-on-one tutoring to engaging small group classes, we offer numerous paths to learning. Each of our programs is designed as a stepping stone to open doors of opportunities, personal growth, and community engagement. Kenosha YMCA
The Y is dedicated to building healthy, confident, connected and secure children, adults, families and communities. With a commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living, and fostering a sense of social responsibility, the Y ensures that every individual has access to the essentials needed to learn, grow and thrive.
Meals on Wheels
Operated by KAFASI, the Meals on Wheels Program enables the elderly, the sick, and the disabled to remain in their own homes with help from people who care. Through Meals on Wheels, home-delivered meals are provided to persons who are unable to prepare their own meals and are at risk of going to a nursing home. Meals are nutritionally balanced, created for good taste, healthy portions and specific health needs in mind.
Senior Dining
KAFASI’s Senior Dining Program offers seniors a hot, healthy meal and good company! At sites throughout our community, our staff and volunteers bring a dining experience to those who wish to share their meal with others. A chance to meet new people, dine with friends, lively conversation, healthy food and a good time is had by all! Meals are catered and adhere to strict nutrition standards and are served with a smile by our host of friendly volunteers.
Salvation Army – Kenosha
The Salvation Army, an international movement, dedicated to doing the most good in the community. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
Kenosha Human Development Services
KHDS provides public, individual, and group care for anyone living in the greater Kenosha County area. They believe that providing the opportunity to learn new skills, in the least restrictive way possible, whether that be living independently or in a group care facility, can help people become and continue to be productive members of our society. KHDS partners and works in cooperation with social, health and family service branches of county, state and the federal government.
UW-Parkside Educational Opportunity Center
The Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) is here to help you achieve your personal and professional goals. Fully funded by the U.S. Department of Education and sponsored by the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, the EOC provides free goal-setting services and degree completion assistance to qualifying adults in Southeastern WI and Northeastern IL. They provide the following services and much more:
- Admissions and application support for any accredited postsecondary program
- Help with HSED/GED application and completion
- Financial literacy training, including budgeting support
- Career counseling and professional development support
- Fun and interesting programs to support professional and cultural development
