Spotlight on Amy Crum, MSN, RN, APNP, PMHNP-BC
We’re proud to introduce Amy Crum, a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at our 22nd Avenue Kenosha Clinic, serving patients aged 12 to 64. With over a decade in mental healthcare, Amy is nationally certified to provide specialized mental health and addiction treatment. Her extensive experience spans outpatient and inpatient care, crisis intervention, and post-hospitalization support—giving her a unique perspective on providing comprehensive mental health care.
Amy’s journey into healthcare was fueled by a lifelong desire to help others. Through her personal experiences, she was drawn to mental healthcare and has been committed to this field ever since. She’s passionate about making a positive impact in her community, believing that everyone deserves access to mental health support. Her approach to care is holistic, rooted in the belief that understanding the root cause of mental health issues is essential for effective treatment. Amy tailors her care to consider each patient’s unique challenges, creating a supportive, compassionate environment where patients feel valued and heard.
Amy’s care philosophy centers on collaboration. “I may be the medical expert, but you are the expert on you,” she shares. She strives to work alongside her patients, developing treatment plans that empower them to achieve their highest level of functioning and well-being. With Amy, patients can expect to be genuinely heard. Known for her compassionate approach, she takes the time to listen and understand each patient’s story before discussing treatment options. Her goal is to create a space where patients feel comfortable, respected, and motivated to reach their mental health goals.
Amy holds a Bachelor of Psychology from Liberty University, an Associate Degree in Nursing from Gateway Technical College, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a Master of Science in Nursing, specializing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, from Eastern Kentucky University. She is board certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner through the ANCC. Amy Crum’s expertise, empathy, and commitment to patient-centered care make her an invaluable asset to our clinic.
