What made you choose a healthcare career?
I was never the person that thought when I grew up, I would be a nurse. It was a bit of circumstance for me. I was a young Mom and was looking for a career that would bring me and my child stability as well as provide some schedule flexibility. Little did I know then but I absolutely loved the work, the patients, the teams, and the environments I worked in as a nurse. So much so that I furthered my education to get a Doctorate of Nursing Practice.

What types of care do you provide, and what sets your care apart?
As a nursing and team leader, I love taking on new and innovative projects. I enjoy working with teams on ‘even better’ ways we can take care of patients to provide them with the important and quality care they need and deserve. Utilizing my skills and passions will help me in working with the Pillar team on continuous improvement in our Integrated Care Model between Medical, Dental, and Behavioral Health. I’m also excited to be taking new steps in the movement to Value-Based care. Value-Based Care is the care of our futures. These models will heighten the level of quality care for every patient. The work we will do will be meaningful and impactful to the health of the Kenosha Community.
