Dr. Sanborn brings to KCHC an impressive track record of over 40 years as a clinician and more than 30 years of leadership experience. In his most recent leadership roles, he served as the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell Medical Center, New York, NY (1991-2000), the Head of the Division of Cardiology and Vice Chairman of the Department of Medicine at NorthShore University Health System, Evanston, IL (2000-2018), and the Medical Director and Chairman of the Cardiothoracic Department at Froedtert South, Kenosha, WI (2018-2022).

Dr. Sanborn has held esteemed academic appointments at renowned institutions including the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Boston University School of Medicine, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Cornell University Medical College, Northwestern University, University of Chicago, and the Medical College of Wisconsin. He has contributed significantly to the field with over 400 peer-reviewed publications in the areas of cardiology and public health.
