What made you choose a healthcare career?
I have always had a heart for people and a career in healthcare was the environment where my passions, interests, and values intersected. I was especially interested in the holistic care that is provided in an integrated healthcare model because I have always believed that there are a multitude of factors that affect the health and wellbeing of all people.

What do you find most rewarding about working in a Community Health Center setting?
The most rewarding part of working in a Community Health Care Center setting is being part of a team where the whole team prioritizes each patient and the goal for the health center is to be a patient centered medical home. Meaning that the health center is a resource that each patient can go to for their medical, dental, behavioral health, or social needs.

What is your leadership/management philosophy?
I strive to ensure that my leadership/management style is one of servant leadership and collaboration. I believe that we are all our best when we take a team approach to provide solutions as everyone has something valuable to add to the equation. I strive to ensure that everyone has everything they need to do their job to the best of their ability and want to listen to everyone to make sure that I am understanding their perspective to ensure that we are making the improvements necessary to achieve peak performance.

What can patients look forward to when they visit your clinic site?
Patients can look forward to a collaborative care team that enjoys working together and is excited to get to know each patient. This is a culture that leads to a clinical team that is excited to see their patients. We value each patient and welcome feedback to ensure that each patient is receiving the best quality of care.
