Kenosha Community Health Center and Pillar Health Launch Fundraising Campaign to Expand Services Across Southeastern Wisconsin
This holiday season, the Kenosha Community Health Center (KCHC) and its newest division, Pillar Health, invite the community to support a campaign dedicated to improving access to healthcare for Southeastern Wisconsin residents. For nearly 30 years, KCHC has been a cornerstone of care, providing high-quality, affordable medical, dental, and behavioral health services to over 17,000 individuals annually in Kenosha, Racine, and Walworth Counties.
“As a nonprofit Federally Qualified Health Center, our mission has always been to ensure that every person, regardless of income or circumstance, can access the care they deserve,” said Mary Ouimet, DNP, RN, CEO of Kenosha Community Health Center, Inc. and Pillar Health. “This holiday season, we’re asking our community to join us in taking the next step to expand our services and meet the growing needs of Southeastern Wisconsin.”
A Mission of Impact and Expansion
Since its founding in 1995, KCHC has leveraged community partnerships and grants to foster impactful growth. Recent accomplishments include the development of the integrated Pillar Health model, the opening of its Washington Road location, and the expansion of mental health and outreach programs.
However, the demand for specialized services continues to grow. With your support, KCHC and Pillar Health aim to:
- Expand Pediatric Dental Care: Deliver specialized treatments to children suffering from painful and debilitating oral health issues.
- Launch Optometry Services: Provide essential vision care for children and families.
- Reach New Communities: Extend Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) services to Racine, starting in 2025 at Julian Thomas Elementary School, and eventually transitioning to a permanent clinic at the Lincoln-King neighborhood.
“These expansions will help bridge the gap in healthcare disparities, ensuring families across the region have access to the care they need,” Ouimet added.
