Pillar Health/Kenosha Community Health Center is excited to announce the introduction of Preventive Cardiology Services at its Washington Road location, with Dr. Tim Sanborn, MD, MS, spearheading the initiative.
The Preventive Cardiology program focuses on reducing the community’s risk of heart disease and preventing the onset of cardiovascular events associated with chest pain, shortness of breath, high cholesterol and triglycerides, uncontrolled hypertension, obesity, smoking, heart arrhythmias, skipped beats, palpitations, lightheadedness, dizziness, heart valve disease, and heart murmurs. The goal of Preventive Cardiology Services is to partner with the Primary Care Provider to make significant strides in prevention of heart disease and improving the lives of those we serve. Dr. Sanborn is accepting new patients and welcomes referrals from providers in the community.
Dr. Sanborn brings over 40 years of clinical experience and more than 30 years of leadership experience. In his most recent leadership roles, he served as the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell Medical Center, New York, NY (1991-2000), the Head of the Division of Cardiology and Vice Chairman of the Department of Medicine at NorthShore University Health System, Evanston, IL (2000-2018), and the Medical Director and Chairman of the Cardiothoracic Department at Froedtert South, Kenosha, WI (2018-2022).
Having held academic positions at prestigious institutions and contributed over 400 peer-reviewed publications in cardiology and public health, Dr. Sanborn’s expertise is unparalleled.
In June 2023, Dr. Sanborn was appointed Chief Clinical Officer at Pillar Health and Kenosha Community Health Center. In this role, he oversees clinical operations and collaborates with medical staff to ensure the delivery of comprehensive and compassionate care, reinforcing our commitment to improving community health outcomes.
